Do it! Did it! Done it!

I'm really disappointed with Hewlett-Packard HP. They made a promo that I really put my heart into.

Well here's where it all started. Okay, they have this 2.4 Go the Distance Ink Promo where you could win a brand new Toyota Altis with free gas every month worth Php 5,000 for 2.4 years! Or trip to New York for 2 with pocket money. You could also win other freebies instantly just by scratching the card. To cut the story short it's a good promo. I joined even though they already post the first batch of the winners. Pushing my luck for the second raffle scheduled February 15, 2009.

I think I bought thirty. Yes! 30 Ink Cartridges to push my chance of winning. I was even dreaming of winning. I will be happy just to win the small prizes as long as I won.

It was February 15, 2009 when I visited their site I think for a hundred times! Barely breathing and waiting for the page to update its contents. After 3 days, I emailed them to please update their website because many of us are waiting for the second batch winners of the said promo.

I got really mad when I scoured the internet after a week and still no winners? No updates! Then after three weeks time they removed the web page. This is where I got my suspicions about the promo or should I say SCAM PROMO!

1. They did not inform the public about their second batch winners. (Unlike what they did for the first batch winners)

2. They removed the promo page without even thinking about the participants waiting for updates.

3. Cannot contact the HP Philippines through Phone? (632-867-3557)

4. They’re also not responding to e-mails (What a SUPERB Quality Customer Support?!)

4. I can't even find other link regarding the winners. (Not on the internet and not even on old newspapers!)

5. Funny thing is will it take a month or more to update a single webpage? (A Single Static Page?!)

The sad thing about this is many consumers or participants of the said promo are wondering what went with the promo? Many of us are wondering if this is some kind of Class A SCAM? Why HP is not doing anything about the problem? Did they lose all their web developers and can't update the page? Oh that's great! Then how the hell did they manage to remove the page?!

The biggest question is "WHY NO WINNERS?"

We know that it’s an electronic raffle. Did something happen to your database and you lose the participants registry? Why is there no news on the papers regarding this matter?

If you could answer this to the public, we, Victims of your Faulty, Tricky Ink Promo will be at peace!

Just to let you know HP. I already wrote a complaint report to DTI this morning. I will never stop until the likes of you continuously take advantage of us, consumers and participants. This will not be the end!
